All Saints Learning and Development Centre
Church Farm Care consider the people who work for us as our most important asset so, we aim to support them in every way possible. We have an in-house Training, Learning and Development Manager and a small team of trainers that provide a comprehensive programme of continual learning.
All Saints provides us with our own comfortable, well equipped training centre which is a safe and neutral place for staff to attend training, access support and be given opportunities to develop in their role with Church Farm Care.
Our comprehensive training programme consists of a thorough induction program attended by all new employees and other supplementary courses such licenced First Aid and MAPA courses. We ensure that all staff have access to personal support groups and bereavement support groups. Our Training, Learning and Development Manager regularly reviews the outcomes of the programme and working closely with home managers ensures all staff are given every possible opportunity to be the best that they can be.
Church Farm Care strongly believe that training is just one part of what we all need to be skilled, knowledgeable and fulfilled at work. Ongoing learning and development is equally important and this takes place every day, through mentor guidance and developing people’s individual skills and those of our teams.
We work with an external company who provide Awards, Certificates and Diplomas (previously NVQs) to all levels of staff with varying job roles. This ensures staff development through a nationally recognised framework that is assessed externally.
We regularly get involved in pilot schemes and research studies in our local area and are members of Optimum, the workforce development service at Nottinghamshire County Council. Optimum encourage implementation of best practice through sharing access to county wide opportunities.
PEOPLE who work for us MATTER.
