John Spollin is the Home Manager at Field House
John is a RGN and RMN nurse who has managed care homes for almost 20 years. For the last 5 years, John has been the manager at Field House Nursing Home.
John believes in supporting and developing the staff team and empowering them to provide excellent care. He enjoys working closely with residents and their families and strives to make them feel welcome and involved in life in the home.
John believes that Field House plays an important role in the local community and as such he aims to take part in social and spiritual events. John is always willing to listen, develop relationships and work with everyone involved in a person’s care to achieve best practice.
Maura Torode is the Deputy Manager at Field House
Maura started her career as a nurse in 1980, training at the Westminster Group of Hospitals in London. Having qualified she remained in London and gained urology and renal experience at Hammersmith Hospital and orthopaedic experience at Kings College Hospital; all of which have proved very useful in her role.
In 1989 Maura moved to Nottingham and having a son, started work in nursing homes, which were flexible for her with a young family. Maura soon realised nursing homes felt the right environment for her as she thrived in this area of nursing.
Maura has worked in several homes throughout the city and for four years was Deputy Manager of a nursing home, eventually taking on the role of manager for a further four years.
Maura joined the team at Field House in 2012 and became Deputy Manager a year later. Maura is proud of the strong team at Field House and enjoys leading them to always achieve very high standards of care. Maura is proud of the reputation that has developed over recent years for providing excellent ‘end of life’ care.
Maura has studied Leadership and Management and enjoys supporting all staff to thrive at work and create a strong sense of security and family within the home.
