Valia Vryoni is the Deputy Manager at Field House

Valia is originally from Greece; she has lived in Nottingham for the last 4 years and considers it to be her second home. Valia describes her journey to becoming a nurse as something that was meant to be as it is who she is not just what she does. Valia’s father is a doctor and her mother a nurse so a medical environment feels natural for her.

Valia studied her university Degree in Greece and continued with her Master's Degree and PHD there continuing to work as an academic for two years. Looking to expand her knowledge as part of her PHD study and seek new adventures, Valia ended up in England to learn about how a different Health System works.

Valia has chosen to stay in England and is now a permanent UK resident. In her role as Deputy Manager, Valia’s goal is to provide and maintain high standards of care and she follows her own code of, 'always treat people the way you or a member of your family would like to be treated.' Valia describes satisfaction in her role when she hears people describe Field House Nursing Home as 'Home'
